Greg Moran broke his neck playing rugby in 1983 when he was only fifteen years old. He was paralysed from his shoulders down and his outlook looked bleak.
Despite this debilitating injury Greg returned to school the next year, completed his HSC and then completed a BA at Sydney University. Greg then began script writing completing several feature scripts and writing, directing and acting in several award winning short films. Greg has also completed a diploma in colour and design and painted with the mouth and foot painting artists.
In 1999 Greg got married and then managed Doonkuna Winery and vineyard in Murrumbateman, NSW while completing a diploma in wine growing at Charles Sturt University. After his divorce in 2003 Greg became heavily involved in group therapy and personal development. He then worked as a counsellor and motivational speaker where he shares his heartfelt personal journey with humility and humour.
In 2009 Greg helped develop and produce the children’s television series Spit it Out for tumble TV and the seven network which ran for two seasons of 65 episodes each.
Greg then worked with various production companies developing shows for film and television including The Full Box, Torrid Films and Jungle entertainment.
Greg continues to write and develop shorts, feature films, and television series concepts both individually and with his writing partner Xavier Coy.
Greg is now living with his partner Lisa and is predominantly working as a freelance writer, director, producer and script editor.
In 2021 Greg founded his own production company called Left Field Productions..
